All originals are painted in watercolours - Schmincke, Rowney and Windsor & Newton with miniature brushes I buy in Cornelissen & Sons near the British Museum, London. Entering the shop is like stepping back in time with walls of wooden drawers containing all sorts of brushes, nibs and the like. Large jars of pigments in luscious hues and the promise of inspiring papers, brushes, pastels, paints abound. It’s a real treat. I paint on cold pressed, acid free, fine grain watercolour paper (300gsm) which is responsibly sourced and made in England. All my originals come unframed but are double mounted at no extra cost.
